This is the coolest stuffed animal EVER!! And the price was beyond awesome! It's quality is excellent and has surely taken a beating in our household. It's material is a slighty shiny polyester material that is very stain resistant and has held up well throught many machine washings (I have a front loader and I put it on the gentle cycle). I'm not sure how well it would hold up in a standard machine with an agitator...not because of the items quality, but because it has a lot of detail and stuff hanging off of it...they might get caught on the agitator and tear it up. Those things hanging off are all part of the intricate detail of this thing...most stuffed animals just have a drawing with a background and then stuff it all in an even shape...not this sucker! It has tires and auto body parts hooked on and stuffed separately giving it a very realistic appearance. They are all sewn on very well...VERY, very well!! My 3 kids have played tug-o-war with him many times and he still looks brand new. He truly is 30" tall and is slightly wider than my "big-for-his-age" 2 year old. He has just the right amout of stuffing to make him tuff and stand upright without flopping over, yet cuddly enough to sleep with as an additional pillow. He matches my sons Transformers bedding set perfectly! I wish they sold other members of the show because I would buy them all!!

By angela4fsu USe this to transition our 4yr old son from his infant pillow (standard wooby) to no crutches at all. The optimus pillow is sort of a toy & gives that security at night, but it's not something he's dragging around the house everytime he puts his head down somewhere. So it's doing the job. It's a good size, has some decent detail, and seems to be holding up OK. Some of the threads are starting to fray after about 6mo's.
