Great addition to your collection Dec 23, 2009 Overall a great figure. What a great representation on a classic G1 character, and if Skywarp was like this when i was six i would have been in child heaven. To make this review simple I'll just list the positives and the negatives.
PRO's
-Good articulation
-Great paint job (I own the HASBRO Walmart edition)
-Awesome transformation, not easy and not way complex (remember MP Megatron?)
-Looks amazing in both robot and alt mode, great for display with your other masterpieces
-Comes with cool Dr. Archevil pilot guy
-Neat little gimmicks like face changes, air brake, sonar detector, hidden missles, etc.
-He snaps together very well in both modes, and feels very sturdy.
CON's
-He DEFINATELY could have been bigger and heavier (doesnt quite measure up to MP Prime and Megs)
-No diecast, all plastic (Im a G1 fanatic and LOVE me some diecast)
-Hib kibble gets in the way of posing and just looks unatural
I guess my cons list is a little nit picking but hey, its the way i feel. Overall the Pros outwiegh the Cons for this figure and I would definatley recommend any G1 fan or Skywarp fan to pick this toy up.

SKYWARP Jun 14, 2008 AMAZING figure. also have the HASBRO masterpiece STARSCREAM which SKYWARP is more or less just a repaint, although seems to be made of better more durable plastic and stiffer joints (always a plus when it comes to transformers) this maybe because it is a TAKARA release. great addition to any MASTERPIECE collection.

It doesn't get any better than this May 16, 2008
My hat comes off to those designers at Takara, Masterpiece Skywarp is one excellent piece of engineering.
Originally, I was looking for MP Starscream, but since stocks were short and the only one left costs twice as much as Skywarp, I settled for Skywarp instead, I could accept black. Anyway, the awesome detail of this toy is truly unprecedented, in both F-15 and human form, Skywarp (and Starscream for that matter) looks unbelievably realistic. I've transformed him into human form, put him up on the stand, and I can't take my eyes off him!
This toy is obviously not for kids, it is a piece of precision engineering which takes patience and care to transform. It is meant to be looked at, to be admired. While not built for durability, love and care can ensure him last through the years.
He comes with Sidewinders and laser cannons, pilot, stand and decals. Transforming him with care takes around 20 to 25 minutes. The only flaw is that when in F-15 mode, a section of the spine (immediately behind the cockpit) sticks out, no matter how you try to push it back into position, it sticks out again. A picture of the jet mode in the instruction manual shows this section sticking out as well, so its no doubt a common design/manufacturing flaw. Still overall, this is a very impressive toy, and I look forward to more MPs.

Absolutely beautiful Jan 11, 2008 After buying the Megatron Masterpiece edition I had to pick up this Skywarp. It took me about an hour to transform Megatron so I didn't even bother transforming Skywarp. It comes out of the box in jet form, and has a stand to make it a very nice display piece.
Hurry and get one before they are too hard to find.

Unbelievable Nov 01, 2007 Wow this is the coolest transformers product ever. I missed out on the Japanese's Masterpiece Starscream, but didn't miss out on this stealth color Skywarp. The plane mode and robotic mode are both well detailed and excellently design. In humanistic robot transformation he has all the details in the animation series and more. It seems that they were drawing from this model. He has all three moving fingers. The joints all move in more directions then the G1 reissued model (I got Thundercracker). Unlike the G1 he doesn't stand as balanced, no problem, he got a stand to hold him. You can turn his face and get a snarling Skywarp too.
In plane (F-15) transformation, Skywarp looks just like a real model plane kit. People might not know you even have a transformer at all. The model hard shiny plastic looks so good that placing the stickers looks cheesy. He has landing wheels, booster that swivel up and down as well as the wind fins. Replace his laser guns on his wing with realistic F-15's missiles.
The transformation is much harder than the original G1 jets. The model is well built with hard plastic and some metal at the core. A misstep for somebody frustrated will definitely break something with too much force. Avoid putting on the stickers, which make it comic. I thought the price was high, but would spend more if there were more metal pieces. The plane transformation is about 12" inches long.
Skywarp was one of those cool characters that were dedicated to more of a muscle in the series, but made one memorable model. Only Prime's truck is more recognizable then the Transformers' jets. Got this at a local hobby shop.
