Great Set. How do you play? Sep 08, 2008
By Michael Costa This is a great set of Mahjong tiles. Looks wonderful. Came in a great case. It even comes with instructions, which are totally confusing. Translated in English still sounds Chinese. We are greatful to finally have a set of tiles all our own, but still have no idea how to play...
We have tried to lookup other sites for clear instructions and have not been able to find any and have been looking for months now. And each site has different instructions on either playing or scoring. Each set should come with a small chinese person to show you how to play the right way. Or at least a video tape.

By Gamer The set itself is very nice, however, the instructions leave something to be desired. If, like me, you buy this to LEARN HOW TO PLAY Mahjong, you still won't know how to play after reading the instructions included.
Love it! Mar 29, 2009

This is a great set, particularly since it has the numbers in english on the tiles. This is definitely an advantage if you are just learning the game, as I am. It is also easy to transport. The vinyl case is a bit tacky, although it works quite well. For the price, you're not going to find a nicer set. As far as the instructions, I must admit that I never looked at them. I took a local continuing ed class. It only took a few hours to learn the game. It's a lot like rummy.
Nice Mah Jong set for the price Feb 04, 2009
By LIMom The set overall is really nice, the case is a bit flimsy but adequate. The pieces are a nice size, the numbering and the pictures are great looking. The only suggestion would be to buy a separate book for how to play the game. The instructions are pretty bad and didn't really explain the game well.

Buyers beware! Dec 11, 2009
By D. Toy Buyers beware! These tiles are small. They are not full size tiles; about half size to the tiles I'm use to seeing. The tiles and dice are easy to read. But the case and chips are poor quality. The chips are warped and distorted. Not a good buy.
