Assault Rifles are over rated Jul 15, 2008
By Ryan Crout
"death by samurai"
UGH! this is really annoying so far, of the 9 guys i've baught, only the brutes have been correctly labeled with their proper weapons (a gravity hammer for the hammer chieftain, and dual spikers for the stalker) which is naturally a pain for people like me who buy these guys for the variety of weapons UGH! over it now obviously, this guy does not come with an AR (assault rifle) tho he does in fact posses a beam rifle (oh the irony, for those of you who play Live) instead he comes with a grenade as a second "accessory" both have pegs to easily attatch to him in addition, the shoulders and helmet are removable (at least, the shoulders are, i'm not adventurous enough to try removing his head...) the beam rifle fits well in his hands, but it is a little more awkward on his back, in that the crystaline rounds that power the rifle push it off the peg regardless, he still is incredably well detailed, a fact McFarlane is known for uncommon for McFarlane tho, he moves and he moves very very well the joints are a little stiff right out of the box, but after some vigorous moving, they loosen a teensy bit, allowing for neat poses and cool play, without that annoying flimsy joint common in other figures in addition, he just plain looks awesome in my opinion, with a nice set of directly contrasting colors in his white armor and black undersuit be warned tho, his shoulder guards can and will obstruct his arms vertical movement, meaning he can't point to the side or form a T (sorry to those of you who like to make youtube vids of action figures performing the YMCA) overall, he is fantastic, arriving quick, looking great and he's ready to pwn your little brother all at only 5 inches tall

Broken figure Feb 04, 2009
By Upset mother The product did not arrive in the specified time that it was suppossed to; and when it did finally come, it had a broken thumb on the right hand. Then, to top it off, I sent an e-mail concerning this to the seller and never got a response. I don't think I will be ordering anything else from this company. I was very disappointed and so was my son...it was a birthday gift for him.

It's okay. Jul 17, 2008
By J. Well, it took a while for it to arrive, so I was pretty psyched. But after reading some reviews, I was a little cautious with removing it from the box. The beam rifle was a little difficult to get into position, and I noticed the thumb was loose. It seemed pretty durable, but I was wrong. Less than thirty minutes out of the box, the thumb broke off. It came out like a peg, so it's stuck back in there. It kind of makes me angry, but I figure I'll glue it back in. Nevertheless, it's fun to pose.

Very Frustrating! Dec 02, 2008

We just bought this toy today and found it to be of annoyingly poor quality. First off, the ankle joint is stuck twisted, giving him a permanent clubbed foot stance. Secondly, the rifle cannot fit into the right hand properly and he can only "shoot" sideways. Thirdly, the leg joints are cock-eyed not lining up correctly, and also the torso joint is floppy.
All these problems were very frustrating to my nephew, who used his allowance money that he worked hard for, only to get a toy of very inferior quality. Needless to say he was very upset, and I can't blame him. I am surprised to find this lack of quality in a McFarlane product, and we will probably not buy anymore of these Halo 3 action figures again. The only reason that we gave it a "2" instead of a "1" is because it does look good in the box, but that's about it.

Great to look at, but once you take him out of the box... Sep 18, 2008
By Neuro Scorpion Let me first start out by saying that this is a great figure to look at. He is a detailed figure; you can see all the lines and grooves of his armor and weapons. Though he may look detailed, his left leg is loose beyond all imagination. The leg is loose due to the fact that the joint that connects the leg to the body wants to fall out. Since the leg is so loose, it is almost impossible to get him to stand, let alone pose him in a variety of positions. Also, the holes behind his torso armor piece is not deep enough, therefore when you try to put in the peg for his grenade, it can and will most likely fall out while you're trying to pose him. In conclusion, this figure is great to look at, but I advise that you buy him at a toy store and open him up on the spot as to prevent getting a figure with a leg that's as wobbly as a noodle.
