Lots of Fun Work Mar 18, 2010
By Erik Oleson Looking at this model, you're either thinking 1. its awesome but so expensive, or 2. its ugly and expensive. If you are of the latter opinion, I don't know what's wrong with you. If you have opinion #1, read my review to determine whether the investment is worth it.
I paid quite a bit for this kit (to support my local shop) so this is a great deal on Amazon. I recently got back into model building and was really excited to build this kit.
Words of advice:
- Do NOT paint the parts while still on the runners - Danny Choo recommends this technique on his blog, and it works well for most Gundam models, but not this one. The gray parts (underframe) and some of the red pieces fit so tightly it is difficult to piece them together. Make sure you avoid the paint getting into where the pieces join, otherwise your Sinanju will have problems moving around (I even snapped a piece trying to shimmy it into place). I recommend airbrushing each piece (increases investment and time involved). - Getting the gold onto the black parts. There are quite a few different techniques (check the internet for them). I tried hand painting and it looks decent on 80% of the parts. The lazy and actually decent way would be to use an Exacto knife to cut out the gold parts. Some reviews recommend against it, but I've seen a few pics of decent looking ones using this technique (up to you). - I personally think this model deserves a shiny gloss coat, and I used black enamel paint on the black parts (looks pretty). - Get the water decals. They are just better. - If you are really into upgrading, I know of a few people who have tricked out their Sinanjus using the Neograde kits which are thankfully coming down in price. - The finished model looks amazing, and sticks out in any collection
Make sure you have experience before building this kit (if you are customizing/painting). The price is at a point where you don't necessarily want to buy more than one model.

Amazing detail and design Oct 17, 2009

The arch nemesis of the Unicorn. This is an amazing model that can stand its ground with no paint. Painting will give it much more life. Its the largest MG I own. Its quite a giant. Great kit for display! I am hard pressed to call this a toy but a child that can handle plastic model kits would have fun with this guy. Check out some model reviews on YouTube.

amazing piece of work Jan 16, 2011
By nerdrage90 yes its expensive so you better spend lots of time on it. straight build might be kinda boring for some. right not im done with the endo-skeleton and it stands approx 9 inches tall. highly suggested, itll stand out among any gundam collection
Amazing Apr 02, 2012
By Big Z Everything you have heard about MG Sinanju is true and probably understated. I have nothing negative to say about this kit at all what so ever and I enjoyed it so much I have plans to build at least two more in the future.
Bravo Bandai, bravo.
Now I know why everyone wants this kit! Jul 06, 2011
By Goodguydan For a master grade kit, this thing is big! It stands atleast a head over the other 1/100 scale kits.
The detailing is sharp, and Bandai throws in some nice touches like springs that slide under tha power cables around the waist. There are a lot of panels that can open and spread out to reveal additional thrusters, and the armor around the wrists holds the unit's beam sabers. The green beam effect parts on this kit look really nice too.
The kit has a really nice range of motion, and looks great on an action base. But it can still look imposing just standing up.
Because this is a Katoki kit you can expect a lot of decals. Bandai even throws in two sets of decals for the gold trim.
If you plan on painting the trim on this kit but aren't sure how. Try reading about the reverse wash technique with enamel paints.
