I love this watch! I am a big fan of Fullmetal Alchemist so I had to get this.
The quality is amazing and it looks exaclty like the one from the anime. The only thing is I kinda imagined it a tiny bit larger...
But i wont complain it has the famous engraving "Don't Forget 3.Oct.10" by Ed in there too. I use it as my regular watch to check time becasue it has the cool hanging chain and clips comfortly on your pants.
5 star item and any FullMetal Alchemist fan should own one.

I bought this for my roommate for her birthday and am definitely considering purchasing another for myself! It came in the packaging, working - which was a concern of mine! It was easy to wind and looks beautiful, no scratches or anything (the clock part was covered in plastic that was easy to remove). Great for cosplay or just daily use.

This isn't the best for cosplaying, it isn't the same color as the one from the show which was a bright silver. This model is almost like a gunmetal black. Still very nice though, it is a working time piece and is engraved nicely. I don't like the type of chain they used, if it twists and enough pressure is applied the links will break fairly easily so be careful of that. It doesn't twist the wrong way easily so you should be fine ,but I stood up fast when the coil of the chain was bunched up and it caught on something, the chain broke and I had to get a new one. Not really that big of a deal. Also because of the finish they used it is susceptible to getting smudge marks all over it from coming into contact with your hands.
All that being said I love it and use it all the time, I think it's little quirks give it character but definitely look into the other types out there before buying I think there are like five version of the pocket watch you can buy.

Great Watch for fans...not a real cosplay item though Sep 21, 2010

I got the watch, which the picture depicted originally was not the watch I ordered, but non the less I was still pleased. The Watch is a gun metal finish as opposed to the silver of the actual watch. It still has the Alchemist Seal on the front and the engraving on the inside. It adds besides the darker color, the Caduceus that is on the back of Ed's coat to the back of the watch. My only grip with this is the chain. I HATE the chain that his came with. It is a wire like chain, not chain link, so it lays weird and actually catches more and scratched me. The other downside is I can't replace the chain, because of the nice dark metal coloring, unless I want to shell out more money then I paid for the watch.

True as the law of equivalent exchange, this watch is an exact replica of it's animated counterpart. While a bit smaller than I expected, and obviously made for cosplay, I use this watch on a daily basis as my regular time telling device! Also a great bargain for such a unique and well-crafted device.
