My daughter received the Dora the Explorer plush backpack for Christmas. She absolutely LOVES it. She wears it everywhere. Her blankie is a receiving blanket so her blankie and a book fit perfectly inside. I love the map that is tucked into the side pocket. It is connected to the backpack by a durable rope, so it won't get lost, SUPER PLUS!
I think I bought this for no more than $12, best money I ever spent.

I purchased this Dora's backpack instead of the others listed on Amazon, because the other Dora's backpacks listed had Hazardous Materials warnings in the comments (see top comment in the following link) Dora the Explorer Backpack Rescue Bag
Judging from the picture, which clearly showed the eyebrows stitched to the body of the backpack rather than the flap that covers the top of the bag, I felt I could safely purchase this one, since it was obviously not the same as the other.
When I got the bag however, it was not as pictured, but rather identical to the item pictured in the above link, that is made by Global Design Concepts Inc. and carries the Hazardous Materials warning.
I'm very disappointed, I had really looked forward to giving a Dora Backpack to my daughter. She is such a huge Dora fan, and screams backpack everytime we read a Dora book or watch a Dora video. I can only hope that the people in charge of the Nickelodeon product development correct this issue and find a manufacturer that can produce a Dora Backpack that is not a potential danger to children.
I've never placed a picture of a product on Amazon before, but I will attempt to do so to show the version I received, which is clearly identical to the other Dora Backpacks and not the one in the picture already included with this product listing.

I got this as a gift from our newborn to our 22 month old daughter, who happens to LOVE Dora, Boots & Map (I also got a plush boots beanie, which fits perfectly in the side pocket).
She was ecstatic when we first gave it to her, and it was the first thing she asked about when she woke up the next morning! She keeps some of her treasured things in it (security blanket & Buddy).
Got it for under $15, which I feel is a great bargain for this Backpack. It's not only cute, but durable (an important quality for toddlers). Aside from thr shoulder straps, he looks and feels exactly as I imagine the "real" Backpack would. (Shoulder straps are not plush like the rest of the bag - not a negative, since they are more durable).
Bottom line: love it & would highly recommend it to anyone who has a kid that likes Dora.

This toy is a Christmas gift for my 2 year old. She hasn't seen it yet, but looking at it i would say it is going to be loved immensly. If your child loves Dora, and putting things in bags and buckets and carrying them around.. he/she will love this toy. The included map is made of plastic material and actually has a real map on the inside. the map is attached to the side pocket of the backpack, so it won't get lost. Seems pretty durable. I do recommend this toy.

My 3 year old received this for Christmas and she loves it! I love that the map comes out and unfolds as a real map with directions to doras birthday party. It is big enough to fit a few things. She has been wearing ever since she got it all Christmas day and all day the day after Christmas. Good for pretend play, we took it on our picnic in our pantry
